Decomda is a Decentralized Communication and Data Acquisition System for Underground Operations

Working Principle

Working Principle of Decomda

Data Acquisition and Data Storage

Distributed, decentralized, autonomous and stationary/mobile data logger collect and temporarily store data.

Transportation

Data collectors collect data from any data logger on a mobile basis without a measurement stop, and transport the data through the mine. They can be vehicle- or person-bound.

Data Transfer and Data Evaluation

Data collectors transfer the data from any data logger to a higher-level system (e.g. intranet) for evaluation and visualization.

Advantages

  • Independent of complex infrastructure
  • Any kind of sensor
  • Can be integrated into existing systems
  • Can be freely positioned
  • No measuring stop necessary
  • Low-cost
  • Easy to scale
  • Suitable at drilling & blasting operations
  • Easy to handle
